Approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in both inclusivity and empowerment. I am particularly committed to creating a safe, supportive environment for clients from all diverse backgrounds, including those in the LGBTQIA+ community. My goal is to provide a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable enough to explore difficult topics and make meaningful progress toward their well-being.

  • Person-Centered Therapy

  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT)

  • Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)

Client focus and style

I’m dedicated to promoting mental health advocacy and creating an inclusive space where all clients feel respected and heard. I am particularly passionate about supporting adolescents and adults in navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, women’s issues, relationship concerns, and identity exploration. I want to be an advocate for those who feel they do not have a voice and help discover their strengths.

How clients reach goals

I take a collaborative approach with goal setting and treatment planning, recognizing that therapy is a process built over time. Together, we will identify goals, track progress, and adapt treatment as your needs evolve. Open communication, regular check-ins, and practical tools help ensure therapy remains meaningful and supportive.

Personal journey and first session

I recently earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2025. I was inspired to pursue a career in mental health after discovering my passion for Psychology during my high school years. Your brain is one of the most vital organs of the body and taking care of it can be challenging! I wanted to make a difference by guiding and supporting others who felt alone in their hardships, including my own, and found that connection and walking alongside others on their journey to be deeply rewarding. During our first session, we will spend time getting to know one another, discussing what has brought you to therapy, and establishing a safe and comfortable space for our work together. We will review important safety considerations, begin discussing potential goals, and address any questions or concerns you may have about the therapeutic process.
